Many people have contacted me about The Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill.
This Private Member’s Bill has my full support and I was in Parliament to see it pass through its Commons stages without needing a vote.
I am delighted the Government, the Opposition and MPs from across the House have supported this important campaign and the work of Ban Trophy Hunting, FOUR PAWS and other groups.
We need to end the barbaric practice of trophy hunting, which is incredibly cruel, pushes endangered wildlife closer to extinction and brings unnecessary suffering to animals.
