Hospices care for people at their most vulnerable, providing essential care and support at the end of life. But right now, soaring energy costs are threatening these vital services. For North London Hospice, which operates in our community, keeping patients warm and running essential equipment now costs almost £450,000, up from just £133,000 the previous year.

As a community, we are reliant on hospices and the incredible services they provide. But they are reliant on us for support too – with charitable donations making up around 70-80% of their income. Therefore, as the cost of living crisis hits us all, it is becoming increasingly difficult for hospices to raise funds and keep their services going.

To help meet these challenges, North London Hospice has launched its summer appeal: Fund Our Nurses Month for August.
