Last week, Palmers Green residents and Friends of Broomfield Park shared their concerns with me about the proposed Oktoberfest event in Broomfield Park, and I raised their concerns with Enfield Council officers.
The scale of the event and its impact on surrounding areas would have likely caused major damage to the park and significant disruption to the local community.
I was therefore pleased that the application for Oktoberfest was withdrawn last Thursday and the event will not be going ahead after the concerns of residents were listened to.
