I share the concerns of many Cockfosters residents at the proposed housing development on Cockfosters Station Car Park, which would see 351 flats in four blocks of 10 to 14 storeys on the site. The plans are an overdevelopment of the area and would substantially change the green suburban character of Cockfosters. With the bulk of the properties being one bedroomed flats, and only 35 flats of three bedrooms, the plans do not even address the local need for family homes.
The deadline for objecting is 11 August.
