The Retained EU Law Bill is ideologically driven, lacks common sense and avoids parliamentary scrutiny. It puts rights and protections at risk, left to the mercy of Conservative Ministers.
We need to protect these rights and protections and that’s why I voted against this atrocious Bill and will continue to oppose it.
Many constituents also contacted me about supporting amendment 36. I was very pleased to support this amendment as it is simply unacceptable that the Government is unable to say which pieces of laws are at risk of being revoked at the end of this year.
