Closing train station ticket offices – including all 5 in our constituency at Hadley Wood, Enfield Chase, Grange Park, Winchmore Hill and Palmers Green – will be devastating for passengers, jobs and safety.
I have written to the Secretary of State for Transport and Great Northern to share my concerns and I will be responding to the consultation in full.
I am opposed to these incredibly worrying plans as I strongly believe this will adversely impact elderly and disabled passengers, as well as ticket office staff and everyone who relies on the vital support and advice provided by staff in ticket offices.
