The NHS is in crisis. This is not down to NHS staff, who continue to go above and beyond to protect people. The problems we’re facing today are the consequence of more than a decade of Conservative mismanagement.

Patients are waiting longer than ever and staff are completely overworked. And with our health service on its knees, Ministers are nowhere to be seen. It’s a disgrace and we urgently need the Government to get a grip.

As your MP, I’ve been calling for a long-term plan to fix the NHS so that patients in our community are seen on time and local NHS staff are properly supported. This starts with investing in our NHS workforce, recruiting more staff and giving our health service the support it needs.
