During Heart Unions Week, I was proud to support our trade unions and the incredible work they do, fighting for the rights of workers across the country and helping to create a fairer economy.
I believe that every worker needs a union, as your union is there for you when you need it, and because we’re stronger when we stand together.
Labour also announced its New Deal for Working People, to ensure work will be more secure and better-paid under a Labour Government by:
✔️ Ending Fire and Rehire.
✔️ Day 1 rights.
✔️ Family friendly work, work-life balance.
✔️ Banning zero hours, right to regular hours.
✔️ Stronger union rights.
✔️ Raising pay and conditions for all.
