I visited Vahid Beheshti, a British-Iranian dual national, who has been on hunger strike outside the Foreign Office for over 37 days, in protest at the UK Government’s refusal to take action against the Iranian regime by proscribing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
With my Shadow Foreign Affairs colleagues Catherine West and Janet Daby, I shared my solidarity and assured him that the Labour Party is calling for the proscription of the IRGC and will continue to urge the Government to take this important step.
