Since 2016, sewage has been dumped in our waters every two-and-a-half minutes.
Last year, there were 824 sewage dumps a day across the country.
Right now, not one English river is classed as being in a healthy condition.
Under the Conservatives, water companies have not only been given the green light to dump sewage and neglect our vital water infrastructure, but they have also rewarded them for it, by allowing shareholders to walk away with billions in dividends and with bumper bonuses for negligent water bosses.
In Parliament, I voted for Labour’s Water Quality Bill to clean up our waters and end the Tory sewage scandal once and for all.
