We had a fantastic turnout for campaigning in Highfield Ward recently, with strong support for Labour candidates Nia Stevens and Tim Leaver on the doorstep. Many residents are angry at Boris Johnson’s rule breaking during lockdown and the cost-of-living crisis.

I am looking forward to campaigning on Labour’s Action Saturday where I will be focusing on the cost-of-living crisis. I know many constituents are incredibly worried about rising energy bills. Some are having to choose between heating their homes or eating.

Three months ago, Labour proposed cutting VAT from energy bills, but the Conservatives have been too busy defending their indefensible PM to help families in Enfield.
