This week the Boundary Commission published its latest proposals for Westminster constituencies ahead of the next general election.

Under the latest proposals, my constituency of Enfield Southgate will change to Southgate and Wood Green constituency, which you can see in full below.

Southgate and Wood Green constituency

The proposals will see Enfield Southgate lose Winchmore Hill and the new Highfield ward to Edmonton constituency, and Grange Park to Enfield North constituency.

I will be sad to lose these wards, having built very strong relationships and friendships with schools, businesses and residents in these areas.

Southgate and Wood Green will be joined with Bounds Green, Noel Park, White Hart Lane and Woodside wards in Haringey. I look forward to welcoming residents from these areas to my constituency should the plans be finalised.

This proposal is different from the initial plan, outlined in 2021, to merge Enfield Southgate with parts of Barnet. However, this proposal is now the final consultation on the revised boundaries.

The consultation is open until 5th December. More information about the latest proposals and the consultation can be found on the Boundary Commission website.
