I am horrified at the famine-like conditions in Gaza.
Last night, I asked the Foreign Secretary what steps he is taking to ensure that United Nations NGOs can deliver the aid that Gazans so desperately need.

Today, I spoke in Emily Darlington MP’s Westminster Hall debate in support of Government funding for GAVI.
With 1.5 million children still dying from vaccine-preventable diseases, the UK must show leadership and ensure that immunisation remains a funding priority.

Yesterday, I met with Year 9 students and school councillors at Mulberry Academy Woodside.
We had a productive Q&A, discussing a variety of topics. I was asked for my advice for young people, what parliament does, and to explain a typical day at work for me.
It was wonderful to meet so many young people keen to engage with and learn about politics. I hope to come back soon!

I had the chance to speak on the policies announced in the King’s Speech, where I noted the importance of fixing the shortage of private and council housing as well as the new Renter’s Reform Bill. I look forward to the positive impacts in housing, community safety and equality that our new Government’s legislative programme will engender. Attached above is a short section of my speech.
